2.1 Child Plans |
AMENDMENTS
Point 5 was added to this chapter in August 2011 to include the need to identify the Lead Professional and the frequency of visits to the child.
| 1. | A Child Plan is a plan setting out the services, of a non-complex nature, provided to a Child in Need; for example, family support or day care. |
| 2. | Child Plans are normally drawn up by the social worker allocated to the child’s case or responsible for making the arrangements for a child to receive services. |
| 3. | Child Plans should be reviewed at intervals agreed with the manager, but at least every three months. |
| 4. | Child Plan Reviews are normally conducted by the social worker, who should invite or seek the views of the child, parents and any service providers. If the case is not allocated, the manager must undertake the review or arrange for it to be undertaken on his/her behalf. |
| 5. | Identify the Lead Professional and his or her responsibilities, including frequency of visits to the child. |
